Sealed Mindset teaches a “Safety for Life” approach when it comes to personal safety. We believe that the only path to true confidence and comfort is through four pillars of knowledge: skill development, awareness, fitness, and tools. We give you new knowledge to keep you safe, we allow you to practice your new skills to build muscle memory, and we give you a safe environment to experience as close to reality as possible to prove to yourself that you can act when you need to. It is important to our team that no one ever feels helpless or vulnerable, so we work to build your comfort, your skills, and your confidence so that you have safety for life, no matter where you are.

Why do you require a background check and assessment for all of your members?

We want our facility to be a safe, professional and comfortable environment for our members. We require a background check whether you have a current permit to carry or not because we want to ensure that even if you have a permit to carry that there have not been any issues in between when you received your permit and when you decided to continue your training.

When do most people seek Sealed Mindset training out?

Some individuals see Sealed Mindset as “Step 2″ after a permit to carry because we provide you the conditioning for your mind and body to feel more comfortable when in stressful situations.

Other individuals come to Sealed Mindset before a permit to carry class because they want to make sure they have their skills developed before learning all of the legalities behind getting a permit.

Does Sealed Mindset have a REFFERAL PROGRAM?

Yes! Sealed Mindset is very thankful for your kind referrals. We strive to provide excellence in instruction and personal attention to your friends and family because they are an extension of you. As a thank you from our team to someone who refers an individual who then becomes a Studio Member, Sealed Mindset gifts a free class or a defensive flashlight.

Why is a level or rank an important part of the facility membership process?

A member’s level or rank gives the our team the ability to offer a one-of-a-kind experience to our members, for example being able to draw from a holster or from a purse, being able to move while you shoot, etc.

Each person is assessed based on his or her current skill level and given a level. Your level gives you access to specific benefits within the facility. The level is based on tactic-neutral knowledge and action; so you do not have to do it the “Sealed Mindset way,” you just need to complete your skills safely.

What are the different levels I can attain?

Levels run from Level 1 to Level 11.

How do I improve my level or rank?

All level standards will be posted throughout the facility and in our membership guidelines. You may practice the standards alone or with the assistance of an instructor to improve your rank.

Can anyone walk in to use this facility or to use the indoor range?

This is a private, members’ only facility that provides a one-of-a-kind experience for our members. Anyone can walk in to become a member, but only members or students who take a class can use our facilities. Studio members have access to all areas of the facility once they have purchased their monthly membership but event students only have access to those areas used by their specific event.

Can someone just be a member to use the Live Fire Range?

YES! You can become a member just to use the indoor live fire range, but with this Studio Membership, you would also have access to all Defensive Shooting classes and all Defensive Fitness classes.

If I am new to the defensive handgun world, what class should I start with?

The best class to start with depends on whether or not you would like your wife, girlfriend or significant other to join you in this new hobby? If you would like her to join you, invite her out for our “Date Night” to experience a little taste of everything we do, complete with delicious food, firearms and fun.

If you want to pursue training on your own, then the best place to start is our Defensive Shooting Daily Series. This membership will ensure that you have professionally directed instruction at all times so that you can reduce or remove bad habits to increase weapons’ handling and accuracy.

If you are not sure where to begin, a PRIVATE LESSON is always a low cost, fun experience where you have one-on-one time with an instructor to move at the level you are most comfortable.

What is the difference between Spy Date and Date Night?

Spy Date is a two-hour event that is fast paced. We give you covert identities, allow you to compete as spies and then give you a chance to practice a spy activity in our dry fire/laser pistol room.

Date Night is a four-hour, relaxed social event. We give you a taste of mindset, awareness, defensive handgun training, defensive flashlight training and you leave with a plan of action for what to do if anyone were to ever break into your home. All of this is done over delicious appetizers and dinner, plus dessert and wine (after you finish the shooting lesson).
