What is Sealed Mindset’s philosophy when it comes to personal safety and firearms training?
Sealed Mindset teaches a “Safety for Life” approach when it comes to personal safety. We believe that the only path to true confidence and comfort is through four pillars of knowledge: skill development, awareness, fitness, and tools. We give you new knowledge to keep you safe, we allow you to practice your new skills to build muscle memory, and we give you a safe environment to experience as close to reality as possible to prove to yourself that you can act when you need to. It is important to our team that no one ever feels helpless or vulnerable, so we work to build your comfort, your skills, and your confidence so that you have safety for life, no matter where you are.

This curriculum, how to avoid a bad situation, is what keeps you safe 99% of the time. Only in the .1% chance of a life or death scenario would you need to learn how to integrate a defensive handgun as your last resort. We are here to offer a holistic approach to safety so that you cover the pre-fight (awareness, avoidance), the fight (how to use your mind, your hands, your body and tools.
What can members do on our range that they can’t do anywhere else in the state?
At Sealed Mindset we allow our members, once they attain the specific level of training and conditioning, to practice the following skills on our live fire range. - Draw from a holster
- Draw from a purse
- Multiple Targets

How are the Sealed Mindset conditioning classes different from other firearms classes or training?

- You will build your deterrence and your awareness
- You will learn from classroom time, dry fire time, laser pistol time, range time and live scenarios
- You will focus on weapons manipulation skill development and accuracy, rather than just accuracy.
What types of people come to Sealed Mindset to add to their skill sets?
There are two types of people who come to Sealed Mindset for training. One type of person has experienced a helpless or vulnerable moment in his or her life, and never wants to feel helpless or unprepared again. The other type of person has not experienced anything problematic yet, but wants to make sure his or her family is as protected as possible to avoid a bad encounter. Both individuals have recognized that their personal and family safety is a high priority to live a good life.
Are the memberships monthly or annual?
Our memberships are monthly memberships where you invest in a set amount per month. There is an application fee applied to each membership purchased. Why do you require a background check and assessment for all of your members?
We want our facility to be a safe, professional and comfortable environment for our members. We require a background check whether you have a current permit to carry or not because we want to ensure that even if you have a permit to carry that there have not been any issues in between when you received your permit and when you decided to continue your training.
When do most people seek Sealed Mindset training out?
Some individuals see Sealed Mindset as “Step 2″ after a permit to carry because we provide you the conditioning for your mind and body to feel more comfortable when in stressful situations.
Other individuals come to Sealed Mindset before a permit to carry class because they want to make sure they have their skills developed before learning all of the legalities behind getting a permit.
Since Sealed Mindset provides all handguns, all equipment and all ammunition for its classes, it is easy to show up to learn more!
Do I need to bring anything to my first Sealed Mindset conditioning class?
You do not have to bring anything with you as we provide everything here: all equipment, all firearms, all ammunition. We want you to have the opportunity to try a wide variety of different firearms in different defensive situation to best determine what fits your hand, your life, and your training goals.
If you would like to bring your own firearm, please email firstname.lastname@example.org so that she can let the instructor know for your particular class.

Many members take each Level 1 class multiple times to build their muscle memory and their repetitions of a given skill or technique.

Does Sealed Mindset have a REFFERAL PROGRAM?
Yes! Sealed Mindset is very thankful for your kind referrals. We strive to provide excellence in instruction and personal attention to your friends and family because they are an extension of you. As a thank you from our team to someone who refers an individual who then becomes a Studio Member, Sealed Mindset gifts a free class or a defensive flashlight.
Why is a level or rank an important part of the facility membership process?
A member’s level or rank gives the our team the ability to offer a one-of-a-kind experience to our members, for example being able to draw from a holster or from a purse, being able to move while you shoot, etc.
Each person is assessed based on his or her current skill level and given a level. Your level gives you access to specific benefits within the facility. The level is based on tactic-neutral knowledge and action; so you do not have to do it the “Sealed Mindset way,” you just need to complete your skills safely.
What are the different levels I can attain?
Levels run from Level 1 to Level 11.
How do I improve my level or rank?
All level standards will be posted throughout the facility and in our membership guidelines. You may practice the standards alone or with the assistance of an instructor to improve your rank.
Can anyone walk in to use this facility or to use the indoor range?
This is a private, members’ only facility that provides a one-of-a-kind experience for our members. Anyone can walk in to become a member, but only members or students who take a class can use our facilities. Studio members have access to all areas of the facility once they have purchased their monthly membership but event students only have access to those areas used by their specific event.
Can someone just be a member to use the Live Fire Range?
YES! You can become a member just to use the indoor live fire range, but with this Studio Membership, you would also have access to all Defensive Shooting classes and all Defensive Fitness classes.
If I am new to the defensive handgun world, what class should I start with?
The best class to start with depends on whether or not you would like your wife, girlfriend or significant other to join you in this new hobby? If you would like her to join you, invite her out for our “Date Night” to experience a little taste of everything we do, complete with delicious food, firearms and fun.
If you want to pursue training on your own, then the best place to start is our Defensive Shooting Daily Series. This membership will ensure that you have professionally directed instruction at all times so that you can reduce or remove bad habits to increase weapons’ handling and accuracy.
If you are not sure where to begin, a PRIVATE LESSON is always a low cost, fun experience where you have one-on-one time with an instructor to move at the level you are most comfortable.
What is the difference between Spy Date and Date Night?
Spy Date is a two-hour event that is fast paced. We give you covert identities, allow you to compete as spies and then give you a chance to practice a spy activity in our dry fire/laser pistol room.
Date Night is a four-hour, relaxed social event. We give you a taste of mindset, awareness, defensive handgun training, defensive flashlight training and you leave with a plan of action for what to do if anyone were to ever break into your home. All of this is done over delicious appetizers and dinner, plus dessert and wine (after you finish the shooting lesson).
